Final verdict: 8/10 ★★★★☆
Earlier this 2026, American singer-songwriter Kenny Foster continued his oddball streak by releasing yet another oddball song – “All Right Then,” it is called, and it carries the experimental flame Foster’s previous work ignited. How exciting!
It should be made clear at this point that oddball music is, by a long shot, my favorite kind of music – I like music that disregards conventional song structures and sounds purposefully wacky, and Kenny Foster never fails to give us a chunk of that. “All Right Then” is, then, a pop song weaving together bits of R&B, psychedelia and americana, complete with left-of-the-dial production. The wacky electronics and layered vocal harmonies almost make it sound like cartoon music at points – namely, something you would hear in SpongeBob. That’s doing a lot of heavy lifting, because SpongeBob has a killer soundtrack!
Overall, “All Right Then” offers a varied sound and an interesting auditory experience, and I am quite glad to report that I like it! It is alternative, a bit experimental, but most of all, it is distinct. It is different from other songs you may come across, and it can’t be helped that it is a good song as well. Go Kenny!
