Final verdict: 8/10 ★★★★☆
Kuri Passion is a rising artist from Louisiana who has racked up thousands of listeners with his work in recent years. His latest single, “PARADISE KISS,” was released under the independent music label TOHAN Music in October 2026.
According to the artist, this is a song about unrequited love, where the narrator only realizes they have feelings for the other person after they’ve already messed up and driven them away; lyrics such as “Please, please don’t go” at the tail-end of the chorus drive this point home.
Musically speaking, “PARADISE KISS” is a tune that combines hip-hop and pop with R&B and emo sensibilities. It boasts a stage-ready arrangement and big, over-the-top production, in line with pop music that was in vogue in the mid-to-late 2010s. To top things off, Kuri Passion delivers a vocal performance that does the underlying song major justice.
So you see, you have a catchy, well-written song, complete with striking production and a quality performance from the singer-songwriter – “PARADISE KISS” is thus a fine tune on all fronts. There are no complaints to be made, really – but why does the song have to be so short? Give us another verse!
