Second Choice – Where You Found Me (feat. Dimi De San) [2026]

Final verdict: 8/10 ★★★★☆

Swedish musician Fredrik Lindström has been around for longer than most of my reader base has been alive, playing guitar in a whole slew of bands since 1992. In 2010, he started Second Choice, a solo project designed to accommodate all his musical ideas that did not fit the mold of any of the bands he was a member of at the time. As Second Choice, Lindström collaborates with various singers to bring his vision to life – so let us see what that vision might entail.

Second Choice’s latest single “Where You Found Me” features Dimi De San as a lyricist and vocalist (Lindström himself composed the music), and it is a slightly unnerving, touching-on-cinematic lullaby – or so I would tout it. Dimi De San’s vocals reach almost operatic extremes, comfortably bouncing off of the ambiently-arranged music Second Choice generously contributes. I really want to call it a “rock song,” because it does feel like that in spirit, but it ultimately does away without the energy and grit associated with rock.

That said, my description of it as a “lullaby” might be just as misleading – this is by no means sleepy time music, as the vocals alone suffice to cause alertness in anyone. The instrumentation is tense while also being mellow – it is weird stuff, but good weird, if you catch my drift. In any case, “Where You Found Me” is a song that must be listened to, if it is to be understood. 8/10.
